Through Erin’s Eyes
By Bridget Dippel
In the midst of the light that is seen through my eyes, I see a world of love, hope, peace and happiness.
A world that has taken a moment from its busy life and shown support for a special little girl who has struggled since birth.
This little girl loves life but yet is unable to fully embrace it due to her inability to maneuver through it.
See this little girl can not walk or talk or do really anything for her self and is visually impaired.
Though with that being said she has a smile so beautiful and bright that is lights up a room and a laugh so precious and full of life that it will make you smile.
She’s the bright smile that draws me back home. It’s the sound of her laughter that cheers me on to greater mania. In my noisy life she’s the quiet center.
She listens patiently to my many tales of triumph and defeat.
Her words don’t come out the way that mine do.
We speak without words, we use our hearts. She doesn’t need to see me to know that it’s my hand in hers. We know each other’s touch…I am her sister!
