New Blood Test for Intellectual Disabilities

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is giving the nod for a new blood test that can help diagnose intellectual disabilities in children. According to the FDA, the new test, known as CytoScan DX Assay, can detect chromosal variations associated with DiGeorge syndrome, Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
