Hearing

It’s frustrating for you and your child when they are unable to hear well. Hearing disorders make it hard, but not impossible, to hear. They can often be helped. Two common types of medications that can help with your child’s hearing disorders are oral and topical.

Oral Antibiotics
It is impossible for you to reach the inner part of your child’s ear. The ear drum blocks you from reaching it. Any medications to treat any infections must be given be given orally.

Topical
If you child has pain in the middle ear or outside of the ear, medications can be given. This medication is provided by ear drops.

It’s frustrating to be unable to hear well enough to enjoy talking with friends or family. Hearing disorders make it hard, but not impossible, to hear. They can often be helped. Deafness can keep you from hearing sound at all.
