Vision impairment, or low vision, means that even with eyeglasses, contact lenses, medicine or surgery, you don’t see well. Vision impairment can range from mild to severe. There are a number of medications that can help with your child’s eyes.

Pain Relief
There are two main types of medications used to relief any eye pain your child may be having. These are Proparacaine and Alcaine and come in liquid eye drop form.

Many of the common antibiotics are also made in a liquid format for the eye. These may be used if your child has had an injury to their eye. These include Bacitracin and Neosporin.

Sometimes, vision loss is preventable. Regular comprehensive eye exams and prompt treatment are critical.
